Brie Puff Pastry Pine (Printable Version)

Elegant brie wrapped in puff pastry, filled with cranberry and pecans, baked into a festive pine shape.

# Components:

→ Dairy

01 - 1 whole wheel of Brie cheese (8 oz)

→ Pastry

02 - 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

→ Filling

03 - 3 tablespoons cranberry sauce (whole berry or jam)
04 - 2 tablespoons toasted pecans, roughly chopped

→ Topping

05 - 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
06 - 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped (optional)
07 - 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for drizzling)

# Method Steps:

01 - Set the oven temperature to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut a large triangle to cover the Brie wheel; reserve remaining pastry scraps.
03 - Place the Brie in the middle of the pastry, spread cranberry sauce atop it, then sprinkle with toasted pecans.
04 - Fold the pastry over the Brie, shaping it into a pine tree. Use pastry scraps to craft decorative branches and attach to the tree.
05 - Transfer the wrapped Brie to the prepared baking sheet and brush the entire surface with beaten egg.
06 - Optionally sprinkle with chopped rosemary and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the pastry is golden and crisp.
07 - Allow the baked Brie to cool for 10 minutes, then optionally drizzle with honey before serving.
08 - Serve warm, accompanied by crackers, apple slices, or fresh bread.
